How would you translate PHP-files? દોર પોસ્ટ કરનાર: Heinrich Pesch

I can of course translate them in UltraEdit or such, but then I do not have the advantage of a TM.
I could use Trados 6.5.5, Wordfast 5.0 or Metatexis. Any of you who has used one of these with PHP?
I could not find any posting, though I remember this has been discussed earlier.
Regards

I do not have much time to explain now, but fenerally these two programs would do the tranlation www.your-translations.com is an excelent site. I do not remember if there is a Localization Howto, but the Rainbow tutorial is good enough... | | | Aleksandr Okunev (X) Local time: 07:19 અંગ્રેજી થી રશિયન Tag them and translate with Wordfast. | Mar 23, 2005 |
Dear Heinrich
You can tag them with Tortoise Tagger http://www.accurussian.net/tagger.htm and then translate in Word with Wordfast.
There is no script available for PHP, you can download the manual, study one of the available scripts (taglists) and make your own, it is very easy.
If you have specific questions, please, drop me a line.

I remembered Turtoise tagger after I posted my question and went for a walk. I'll try to figure it out.

I guess I would have to declare first the whole text as untranslatable and after that tag all strings between the apostrophes "= 'bla bla bla' ;" als translatable.
I get Word find these strings with "= '*' ;", but I cannot figure out how to format them so that wordfast would recognise them as translatable.
I lookes at some workfiles for the tagger but it is all too complicated.
I could do it manually if I would know the code for nontranslatable and translatable.
Any hints... See more I guess I would have to declare first the whole text as untranslatable and after that tag all strings between the apostrophes "= 'bla bla bla' ;" als translatable.

After all I decided to translate the files straight in Word using Wordfast and force segment every time. These tags are somewhat irregular.
The main thing I get this done fast and with a TM.
Thanks to you all!

Here's the entire script for your files. Took me 10 minutes to make and test it. (Would have taken you 12, honestly.)

Dear Heinrich, I do not know why you're reluctant to send me a sample file, please, download the tagger, click on it (to open it in Word), click on the turtle and point the tagger to this script first (save it as text) and then to one file in your PHP files folder. The tagger will make everything but text invisible to Wordfast and save the files as Word documents.
Once translation is completed, clean and save as text, the formatting will be lost. Or you may copy/paste everything to PHP files, in this case even cleanup is not mandatory.
Don't be afraid of these very simple things, I have reports from complete newbies who tagged DTP formats with Tortoise Tagger, completed jobs, received payment. Please, read the small passage in the taggers' readme file just before "General" section and don't give up. Forcing a segment may drive you crazy and I will be missing you.
Good luck!
Aleksandr
