I downloaded Wordfast Pro 4 two or three months ago in order to try it. I know that with WF Classic version we are allowed to use it in full after trial period, except for TM capacity, which then gets limited to 1,000 TUs per TM. However, you can just create another TM when that limit is reached and use it normally with other projects.
Is that the same thing with Wordfast Pro 4 version? I mean is that the only problem or does it close other features after the expiration of the tria... I have a valid license for Studio 2015 and use it frequently for my jobs, but I would like to know if I could use Wordfast Pro 4 in case I receive any job demanding that specific CAT tool? ▲ Collapse

Some specific agencies only use WF3 and WF4. If you're receiving work from them, you'll know you need it and won't have any hesitation buying it.
I only use Wordfast and have zero regrets or complaints about it. It's able to handle files from most, if not all other tools and is very user friendly. Once you have the keystrokes memorised, it works perfectly and fast.
So, best advice is to buy it.

Thank you, DJHartmann. I know that there is a plugin for Wordfast in the Studio Open Exchange App store for us to open its files, but it did not work with me and other people. It's not something easy. I used WF Classic for years until buying a license for SDL Studio. It's a nice CAT Tool. Can you open Studio and MemoQ files using WF Pro without having to install any plugin?

No experience with MemoQ but there are clear instructions for how to use studio files in WF Pro on the wiki help for WF. No plugins required.

The trial license is especially helpful for translators who have large TMs from working with other tools and want to test drive Wordfast Pro 4 in extreme conditions
I recommend using the demo mode until you run into one of the limitations, then get the trial license, then purchase if you are happy with it, unless of course you want/need tech support.
