Hi, in the past few days I've been experiencing a problem when I try to open wordfast. When I click on the wordfast icon in the toolbar my PC displays an error which says, more or less, "visual basic error - cannot find or open the macro because of protection settings", and Wordfast doesn't start. I suspect my PC is infected with a macro virus, but when I run Norton Antivirus it doesn't detect any virus. I've also tried to uninstall wordfast and to install it again, but it was unsuccessful.

Hard to say without anyd details about your system and Wordfast version Sep 20, 2004

This is what Frank Horváth said about this at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/wordfast/:

“You merely need to uncheck the "Enable Office Plug-in" option on the Norton Antivirus Options/Miscellaneous tab under "How to keep Microsoft Documents protected".
By this you still have proper protection. No other AV tool is required.”

Try to install Wf anew Sep 20, 2004

Probably something has gone wrong. Simply put the original Wordfast.dot in place of the one you had in use.

Try this Sep 20, 2004

Close Word.
Search for ~wordfast.dot (do not forget the symbol "~")
if you find it, delet it
search for ~normal.dot
same procedure

Test it now
