Hi; several years ago there was a company selling a program to assist in translating webpages; it would strip everything from the page except the actual text; you would transate it, and then it would reassemble the page to look exactly as before, but now with the translated text. It was sold for around $50.

Anybody remember the name/company?

the free and open source omegat can handle web pages, i.e., html/xhtml.

although not as instant as cats cradle, you can open the translated page in a browser. to update, just hit refresh in the browser after you create translation in omegat.

http://www.webbudget.com/ is another cat tool specifically designed for website translation. Among other features, you can mark every image as translatable/non-translatable, while viewing it.
