Hi,
I opened Proz and all of a sudden the layout has changed considerably: the colors of the page remain by and large the same but the darker green on the top of the page is not fixed to a few lines anymore but seems to expand massively whenever I float my mouse over it. Is this something I can change in my settings, might I have a virus or did Proz change a few things in the design of the website? Can I in any way revert back to the previous settings I experienced?

Hello Theo,
No recent layout changes have been made. The problem you describe sounds like it might be something else, though-- could you submit a support request on this, with a screenshot of what you are seeing, so that support staff can diagnose the problem? Thanks.

I'm seeing it too; there apparently was a problem with file synchronization tonight that looks to have caused the layout issue. Actively working on resolving it now; I apologize for the inconvenience.
Best regards,

Thank you for reporting this; the issue has been resolved. In short, a network interruption during a file synchronization caused the visual corruption.
Refresh the site (Ctrl + F5 in Firefox, Shift + F5 in Internet Explorer) and it should look normal. If not, please let me know.
Best regards,

Hello, are you sure it has been resolved. From my side here is Switzerland, the layout is very strange, there are no background colours, it is very difficult to use the Proz website, the pages are loaded very slowly. Something is obviously wrong. Thanks in advance for your efforts in resolving these problems. | | | Please submit a support request including a screenshot | Nov 25, 2010 |

Exactly the same problem here, it looks like a sort of simplified htms version, so it's not a personal problem.... | |

Problem resolved by pressing the "Refresh" button | Nov 25, 2010 |
I got the strange layout too, last night and this morning, but resolved it by pressing the "Refresh" button, as advised here. All is now well. Both I and the site are refreshed.

John, thank you, this seems to have solved the problem for me. Funny how the refresh-button didn't do the trick for me where Ctrl +F5 does, but that could have something to do with my settings (I knew I shouldn't have fiddled with them). Have a nice day!

Did a more thorough purge and reload | Nov 25, 2010 |
All,
I've been watching the support requests; haven't seen any more complaints - except those in Switzerland.
I have manually forced the file to reload.
Note - if you have Firefox on a Mac, there's a slightly different procedure for a hard refresh - from http://dotjay.co.uk/2007/may/hard-refresh-firefox-mac :
I now use Command+R for refresh and Command+Shift+R for when I need to do a hard refresh.
If the issue persists, please submit a support request with a screenshot of the behavior, your location (Country and City) and which ISP you're using so I can narrow down the commonalities.
Best regards,
Jon Peck
