Hi Vincenzo,
I don't follow the events in the Italian soccer, but would like to comment that it sometimes happens that the athletes openly express their views.
E.g., the Black Power salute at Summer Olympics 1968 in Mexico, by Tommy Smith, gold in the 200 meters sprint, and John Carlos, bronze.
IOC statement after the protest: "US athletes violated ..universally accepted principle....[prohibition] to advertise domestic political views." (One of many sources http://www.historylearningsite.co.uk/Mexico_1968.htm )

Well, what did you expect, Gianni? England are not good at soccer. My own theory about this is that the English are not physical people, as others (like the Italians) are. It's congenital.
Also note: England has not beaten Italy for 35 years
BTW - I am amazed at the number of posts that have been removed from this thread. I wonder if this one will be too ?

...I have always thought that the only feature England never lacked is the physicals. I don't think they're underachievers on that side. Rather, the tactics employed from all their trainers has been the same for, kinda, forever. The same 4-4-2 with endless crosses from the forward wings to reach a header in the box. Boring to say the least.
I am puzzled too about the removed posts...

Hey there! I've been a volunteer at Stadion Miejski w Poznaniu! It has been amazing. The atmosphere, the Irish! I highly recommend you to try and be a volunteer in the next sports event if you have the time. It's totally worth it! Besides we could watch 2 of the matches for free
BTW I hope Spain makes it to the final today. Podemos!
