Hi everybody,
I'm starting to plan my summer holidays and was thinking of going to Iceland. Any tips? Of course I have already searched information online but I'm still wondering: is it (relatively) cheap now, after the economic crisis and the devaluation of the crown? How much could an average holiday (say 10-12 days, decent accommodation etc. in July or August) cost? Thank you so much in advance for your help

For driving in mountainous areas you need a 4WD car, preferably a jeep.

I suggest that you get in contact with the tourist offices or the tourist information sites for more detailed info.
July is the preferred month, but perhaps also the most expensive.
