Hi hope someone can help me understand this.

In the death certificate I am translating, under the section of the 'informant', there is a sub section entitled 'qualification' and the description is 'Causing the body to be cremated"
The word 'qualification' caused me to panic a bit.
I suppose what is said here is that the informant informed the death, and requested the body to be cremated.
But why 'qualification'? and why "causing"?

It sounds as if the informant is qualified to make the dead body to be cremated, as hard as I can try. Maybe that's what it is. Am I right?

Try a Kudoz question for that, you might try "English-English" because you could get better replies. Once you understand what it means it may not be so hard for you to render it in Japanese.
