sono alle prese con un testo aziendale dove si distingue tra "accountability" e "responsibility", che costituirebbero 2 dei 4 valori pilastro su cui si basano la "vision" e la "mission" di un'azienda.

Da uno schemino appare chiaro che:

Da uno schemino appare chiaro che:

accountability = l'azienda si assume la responsabilità delle proprie azioni restando all'altezza della sua elevata reputazione, tiene fede agli impegni che si assume, si aspetta dai propri dipendenti che siano "accountable" nelle loro decisioni e azioni.

responsibility = l'azienda si impegna a conseguire l'eccellenza nella salute e nella sicurezza e nel miglioramento continuo, si impegna a ridurre al minimo il proprio impatto ambientale e ad incentivare la sostenibilità, è un "buon vicino" ovunque operi.

Qualcuno ha qualche idea brillante su come rendere i due termini in italiano?

As you translate from English I hope you don’t mind if I write in English (my written Italian is rustier than ever). I don’t know how to translate these terms in Italian as I work exclusively IT-PT, but a small explanation might be useful. The big difference is that responsibility can be shared (you can work with a team of people to divide responsibilities), but accountability is something that is specific to an individual.
