I am getting frustrated. I have a 922-page PDF with corrections made by client's client (yes, you read it right). The corrections should be entered into 4 separate files. I have no idea as to which file contains which segment to be corrected. Can the 4 files be combined into 1 big file, so that I would not have to jump back and forth between the files, losing about 5 minutes every time. To make things worse, the files I received do not match the original translations, are the client or his client had added a very large number of segments containing code. In many instances, the additions split until the complete segments into 2 or 3 new segments. ▲ Collapse

Great question!

It's a pity I can't provide you the answer, but I add my voice to your question. I was just going to ask a similar one: how to consistently update repeated segments across several files, without repeated "open>search>update>close>open" routine. Or at least how to find out, which files from the large list contain the segments that need to be updated? (Something like the function "Batch find and replace" in Translation Workspace from Lionbridge).

Files from other tools can at least be imported in XBench for this. Unfortunately this solution is not available for Across.
I hope that's possible in principle, and someone knows the answer? ▲ Collapse
