I have an assignment to be delivered in pdf files ( the language is Arabic ).. So , I have got a program called ( Acropad 1.0 ) an editor that enables me to save files in pdf format .. The problem is that when I finished writing my Arabic translation using this program and saved it , I tried to check it using my Acrobat reader ( 4.0 ) and I have found the Arabic words turned into meaningless symbols .. So can any body help ?
Thanks in advance

Get Adobe Acrobat 5.0.5; what is your OS?
Apr 9, 2003
Greetings.
For your purposes in working with Arabic tesxt (what OS and word-processing gear are you using?), AcroPad is junk because it does not include or support right-to-left (RTL) drivers.
Get Adobe Acrobat 5.0.5 (or the new, new 6.0 if you can afford that). Adobe Acrobat 5.X supports RTL Arabic. That works well, bidoon s3ubat aw mushkillat, with my MS Windows XP and MS Office XP.

Embed fonts
Apr 9, 2003
Also, remember to embed all fonts when creating the PDF; otherwise they will be replaced by standard AdobeMMSerif and AdobeMMSansSerif, which is possibly what has happened.
