Cafetran keeps interrupting my workflow by suggesting the words it thinks I might be trying to type. It does so by opening a pop-up right in the very place where I'm typing, making it impossible to see what I'm doing.
To be precise: when CafeTran sees me beginning to type a word and thinks it can predict what I want, it pops up a list of suggestions, against a nasty bright white background, trying to get my attention, right at the I-beam cursor where I'm typing.

This interrupts me. I want to turn it off. I don't want these suggestions to pop up and get in the way of what I'm doing.
It's much faster for me to just type; it takes longer to choose something from the list of suggestions, and anyway they are often of no use to me because the lists include my earlier typing errors as suggestions - which I certainly don't want to see!
I've searched in the preferences for some way to stop it from happening, but I can't find anything.
It's driving me mad. How can I stop it? Can I, even?

Hi try unselecting Prompt phrases under Prompter in the Preferences. This should help temporarily but is certainly not the final solution. Here the prompter windows pops up but is just right under the the line I'm writing to.

Narrow down the prompted phrases
May 21, 2021
Instead of turning it off completely, you might consider setting the minimal word length for prompting and/or the typed character in the word when the prompting starts. See those options in Preferences > Prompter tab. It will narrow down the list of the suggested words.
