Hola. Tengo entendido que la fecha es 16 de julio, no de 16 de junio. Como sea ignoro si lograré ir.

Pregunta: Quién(es) viene(n) del sur a ver si nos encontramos en algún punto y de ahí seguir viaje a San Juan? Sé que aún falta 1 mes para la eventual cita, pero sería bueno conocer a alguno de ustedes "in advance". Buena suerte.

I was hoping for a chance to get my ID verified at the powwow. Is any of us verified, or in hopes of becoming so before then, and could you apply to ProZ for authorization to verify IDs?

All Platinum members in the group are "verified". My ID was verified through my credit card, when I purchased my Platinum membership. I thought that was the only way to get verified.

To Luisabel: I don't think so--you have an "ID Verified" check mark on your profile page, but not all Platinum members do. One way to get verified is by meeting, in person, someone from the authorized list of ProZ staff people; another is by going to a powwow and showing picture ID to someone who has been authorized to verify IDs. I don't know if they would authorize you or not, but maybe so, since you're verified. But arrangements have to be made before the powwow.

I just checked the Powwow FAQ and found this: "If you are organizing a powwow, and have had your own identity verified already, you may submit a support request asking for the right to verify the identities of others. You will be asked to confirm that you will only verify the identities of people who you meet in person and who show you photo ID." So it looks like only Vanessa could do it, and according to her profile page, her ID isn't verified yet. Unless that's a mistake? Vanessa? Any chance? ... Has everyone noticed that in order to get your 200 BrowniZ for attending a powwow, you need to take your ProZ ID number and give it to Vanessa, who would then file an online attendance report? You can find your ID # by clicking on the Powwow FAQs and reading down.

Gente, debido a la situación fluctuante en mi trabajo, quizás tenga que tomar mis vacaciones del 16 al 22 de julio, por cuanto no creo se pueda hacer la reunión en casa después de todo - aviso con tiempo para que puedan hacer planes alternos y no tirarles bomba al último momento.
