Depuis 2003 je propose des services de traduction et de PAO en français, anglais et allemand. Principalement j'effectue des traductions dans les domaines tourisme/marketing/technique, mais vivant à côté d'un mari francophone, je maîtrise toute une gamme de sujets possible en allemand et français. Je compare la traduction à la construction de ponts, des ponts entre personnes, mentalités et concepts. Afin de pouvoir traverser ces « ponts linguistiques » en sécurité, ils doivent être construits avec précision et cohérence. Ainsi, je me sers des programmes de TAO, tout en suivant mon leitmotiv « traductions à la main avec cœur et esprit ». Pour chaque nouveau projet de traduction je me tâche d'effectuer des recherches profondes, afin de transmettre pas que des mots, mais des idées.

I have been offering translation and editing services for German, English, and French since 2003. During this period I have gained particular experience in the translation of technical documentation, tourisme and marketing and other subjects such as:

I consider translating like building bridges between persons, concepts, and mentalities. Accuracy and consistency are important factors for a safe crossing on these “word bridges”. Thus I am familiar with using TMs and CAT programs, yet I always follow my motto “translation by hand with heart and common sense” by doing thorough research on any new translation project in order to not just transmit words but ideas.
