Turkish term

İş deneyim tutarları

Turkish to English Bus/Financial Law: Contract(s) Tender - procurement contract
This is mentioned in a Completion of Work Document in connection with a tender in which partners or members of a consortium are to assigned their respective portion of "iş deneyim tutarları" . This could be referring to amounts of work each is credited as having done or could be referring to sums of money.

Any opinions and ideas on how I should translate this phrase in this context.

Here is the excerpt:

Yüklenici iş ortaklığı ise ortaklar ve ortaklık oranlan ile bu ortaklara ilişkin iş deneyim tutarları / Yüklenici konsorsiyum ise ortaklar ve bu ortaklarca geçerkleştirilen iş kısımları ile bu kısımların tutarı

Many thanks in advance

Yusef Jul 6, 2009:
Total turnover of work done.
Harold Lemel (asker) Jul 6, 2009:
amount of work done appears to be the right transl Based on all of your contributions and in the context of a partnership, proportion of work done by the respective partners seems like the right way to go.

Thanks to everybody for their quick help!!!

work experience amounts/sums/shares

I'd use any of these ending terms, as the case might be!

You may also consider this phrase: "completed works proportional shares" if it matches with context of your translation!

4 KudoZ points awarded for this answer. Comment: "I really did not know which to select but this answer had all of the possibilities and will be most useful in the glossary. I added costs which ERkan Dogan suggested as appropriate for the context. I THANK EVERYONE FOR THEIR INTEREST AND HELP ON THIS"

proportional work amount costs

If more than one contractor is assigned to a job by different proportions, then each one's conducted amount of business will be different and each of them will be paid proportionally. Yet in the case of "iş deneyim tutarları", I don't think deneyim is meant experience, but "job completed".

Even though it seems like it is related to "proportional amounf of work done", "tutar" in your question refers to "amount of cost". If, for instance, someone told me "İş deneyimi tutarları" but nothing else, the first thing that comes to my mind is "cost" and then the other details. Your question is totally about "costs", but how those particular costs are calculated is your main question. To provide you a better option, it might be "costs of proportional amounts of work done". "Deneyim=tecrübe" in Turkish can seldomly refer to "conducted" or "completed" services and should not confuse us.
Note from asker:
I agree --- So proportional 'amount of job completed', right?

You can also use the term "business record" for "İş deneyim".

No probs, however, I disagree with your comment as "tutar" here means amount, not "portion or proportion".
Note from asker:
Thanks so much! Based on the links you sent me, it could be work experience or portion of work done. In the context in which it appears for me it seems like 'portion of the amount of work done' would be correct, --- this is what seems to be the case in that table talking about partnerships and consortioms. So portion of work done seems right, not tutari as sum of money. Any further comments? Again cok sagol!
