Italian term

... hanno fatto si che nascesse in me...

Italian to English Art/Literary Tourism & Travel
Salve a tutti!
Ho bisogno in un piccolo aiuto:
"La riscoperta delle tradizioni e dell'arte hanno fatto si che in me nascesse la consapevolezza di voler investire il mio tempo..."
il mio problema è con " ... hanno fatto si che in me nascesse la consapevolezza di voler... "

Qualche suggerimento?

Grazie a tutti in anticipo!

Made me realize... I think is the best one. I was looking for something closer to the spirit of the writer, but this is the most natural way in english.
Thanks to everyone!

inspired me to realize that I wanted to invest my time

"My rediscovery of traditions and art inspired me to realize that I wanted to invest my time..."

OR
...made me realize..."

These are the most natural-sounding English versions I can think of.

I believe this is this is a classic instance of needing to rearrange the words a bit in English and not translate word-for-word, otherwise it will inevitably sound like a sentence translated from the original.

they allowed the knowledge inside me to born

non è semplice... questo può essere un inizio
Peer comment(s):

disagree Diana Di Battista : almost could work... it would work if it said "to be born", but without the "be" it is grammatically incorrect

made possible to be born within myself

The rediscovery of the customs and the arts made possible to be born within myself the awareness of investing my time ….

This may be a solution.
