Discussion

Riccardo F Jan 10, 2010:
CPI is Codice Prop. Industriale, not Intellettuale The intellectual property rights (in Italy referred ONLY to copyright) are protected under the "Author's right law" (Legge sul Diritto d'Autore - LDA). Patents, trademark, undiscloed informations (and more) are instead protected under the "Code of Industrial Property - CPI).
DCypher (X) Oct 12, 2006:
codice della proprieta INTELLETUALE...intellectual property rights?
giovie72 (asker) Oct 12, 2006:
It is a legal document on Trademarks and patents. In this case it is regarding provsions under article 13 of the CPI.
"essa non rientra nelle proibizioni di cui all'art 9 del vigente C.P.I."
Kim Metzger Oct 12, 2006:
We still need context to help you. Tell us something about your document.
giovie72 (asker) Oct 12, 2006:
legal Sorry, I forgot to change the field from material to legal. Sorry about any confusion.

Kim Metzger Oct 12, 2006:
Please provide some context. Is this about plastics? Is it from a contract?

code of industrial property rights

CPI Codice della Proprietà Industriale

To start with, it must be said that Italian regulations on protection of industrial property rights were recently collected together (23 December, 2004) into an Industrial Property
Code (hereinafter: CPI), which also collected together and revised regulations on trademarks already contained in the Trademark Law (Royal Decree 929 of 21 June, 1942 and
subsequent modifications thereto).

However, the CPI, like the Trademark Law, does not contain specific regulations governing potential conflicts between the right to freedom of speech guaranteed by the Constitution
and the exclusive rights held by the owner of a trademark.

Italian Penal Code

C.P.I. = Codice Penale Italiano

Your indicating Materials/Plastic could somewhat confuse the issue. The vital part surely is LAW/PATENT
Note from asker:
thanks for your input :-))
Peer comment(s):

disagree Riccardo F : The "code of criminal law" in Italy is shorten as "C.P.", and never as "C.P.I.", which, in legal context, is only the "Code of Industrial Property".

and this 1186 days after the fact? Surely the Italian internet is faster than that ......
