Swedish to English Tech/Engineering Transport / Transportation / Shipping Train communications
I suspect it should just be left as it is, but I would like to get an explanation of what it means. This text has to be absolutely perfect.

Here is the context.

Underhållsverktyg (SW) ingår med olika an- vändarnivåer."

Discussion

Thomas Johansson Jan 3, 2011:
Perhaps "SW" for "Swedish", to indicate that the tool interface is in Swedish (and not, say, English) or that it is a Swedish language version of the tool.

I wonder if this is just the English abbreviation for software. These tools could be a software program for troubleshooting purposes.

This is just a guess - you need to check this with your customer.

Thanks Cetra!
agree Barry Appleby : Think you are most probably correct, since verktyg does not immeiately make one think of software, so this has been added to make things clear.

It was what immediately came to mind when I saw this because the documents I receive often contain a mixture of English and Swedish abbreviations.
