I suspect it should just be left as it is, but I would like to get an explanation of what it means. This text has to be absolutely perfect.

I wonder if this is just the English abbreviation for software. These tools could be a software program for troubleshooting purposes.

: Think you are most probably correct, since verktyg does not immeiately make one think of software, so this has been added to make things clear.

It was what immediately came to mind when I saw this because the documents I receive often contain a mixture of English and Swedish abbreviations.
