Swedish term

anmälningsärende

Swedish to English Law/Patents Law: Contract(s)
Hello

This word has already been translated as 'notification procedural matter' on Proz

The problem is that if you Google the exact English, you get just two hits while the Swedish phrase gets over 13,000 which makes me think there may be a problem.

Here is one of my Swedish segments to translate with this word

Ett fattat beslut kan återkallas vid **anmälningsärendets** uppkomst på ett styrelsemöte, när det finns skäl därtill.

Any help appreciated please

thanks

@Charles Ek and all Hello

For more context, I have other segments but nothing that really gives any clues or definitions

The general point is that powers can be delegated, and in particular budgetary decisions but if anything goes wrong, the powers can be revoked as per the sentence I gave.

other context is that we are talking of a student association and not European legislation.

regards and thanks for coming to my aid (saving a 57 year old male maiden in distress :))

@Adrian Hello Adrian

Your entry is the one I said is already on Proz and it's not that I don't like it, but that I have doubts about the number of Google hits for it plus I'm not doing a translation on European legislation but for a student association.

Otherwise, I really do like your contributions and remember that you've helped me out a couple of times recently for which I'm very thankful.

It's a real stretch to suppose on this scant evidence that the matter involves competition law. This might also have something to do with certain provisions of the Swedish Environmental Code.

@ Charles E. + SafeTex Didn't either of you like my (BrE) offering/(AmE) proffering last time? http://www.proz.com/kudoz/swedish_to_english/law_general/184...
Charles Ek Jan 25, 2016:
I think we need more context if you can provide it. This may involve a reporting obligation of some sort.

notifiable matter vs. point of order

To start the ball rollling... The context appears to refer to the conduct of meetings, the procedure for which many ProZ commentators will be familiar with.

BTW the frequency of G/hits is no guide to matters of Anglo-Am corporate or litigation procedure. In fact, some well-established terms in legal drafting score few G/hits at all.
Example sentence:

A point of order may be raised if the rules appear to have been broken.

STATEMENT OF NOTIFIABLE MATTERS. This statement sets out certain important information about credit reporting

notification item

For agendas, each point of discussion (numbered) is called an 'item'.

This would then be a 'notification item' in the board meeting agenda...as opposed to an 'Action item'
