Not sure what to call it: could be Light Assembly Unit.
You know those 4 or 5 lights that sit in the vent holes under the number plate on a car. That's called a ramp in Swedish. Can't find any UK or US reference pages.
Here is an example: Rampen har helljusbild
The lamp assembly unit has a full headlight beam

Comment: "I tend to agree finally here with "bar", I found a few hits on the net with "light bar" resembling ljusramp. Nothing at all like the "ramps" in Sweden but close enough to start calling it such. Thanks. Mark"

That's called "nummerpladebelysning" in Danish. Various cross-references come up with "number plate lights".

An extensive search on Google and the others turned up nil. I would go for you "guess", maybe with the addition of "extra" or "accessory lamp assembly". "Light bank" is another possibility.
