From the context, it is clear that that this means "to be connected". What I am wondering is if there is another word that in this sort of tech talk could also be used.

Desconectar los diferentes componentes (módulos) ***abonados*** o conectados a la red multiplexada, conectores C722 y C729 de los módulos de control de puertas del conductor y acompañante, C99 de la Caja Electrica Central P91, accionar el interruptor de corte del circuito multiplexado al cuadro de instrumentos A30 situado en el bornier y comprobar el aislamiento entre las lineas H (high) y L (low).
