The photo shows a pair of pleated pants, and from Google images, I see that "transpasse" is when one fabric layer is folded over another in the clothing. But what is this called in English?

Thank you to all who've answered! Since I have access to the image itself of the pants in question, I see that Coolbrowne and Marlene are right on with "wrap". That's exactly what I was looking for, and couldn't come up with myself. Thanks to both of them and also to all who took the time to offer help!

Dart? That's a good guess but not quite. The idea of this invented verb "transpassar" is to pass over, so there is extra fabric that folds over or covers fabric that is already there, in other words, a wrap
