scent for the hair
Since the original translation was "deodorant", perhaps they were referring to a specific product to give the hair a nice scent.

: would most probably be confused with (ladies') hair spray // The way I understood it is they created their neologism with both odd uses of the words "cheiroso" and "cabelo" - in this case (body) hair, that is, primarily thinking of underarms

If it is to be used under the arms then it is a simple deodorant. If it is to be used on the hair and has an "attractive" scent then it is a hair spray. Contact the origin to see what they really mean. Portuguese often tends to complicate simple things. When in doubt, return to source
