This is from an exerpt from a damage report on a Hydroelectric horizontal Turbine, which upon making strange noises was closed down and opened up to find problems with one of the turbine blades.
Throughout this report they keep mentioning ' the alavanca of the (turbine) blade', - to give it the literal translation of ' the turbine blade lever' does not make much sense, I was wondering if it was the 'angle' that the blade makes with the rotor/stator or something to do with the keyway which the blade fits into??
Any suggestions gratefully received with thks.

Este desgaste (evidenciado na inspeção das peças internas) causou um aumento considerável do atrito em operação e dos esforços sobre todo o mecanismo e a alavanca da pá n.º 2 (os mecanismos das demais pás não apresentaram problema).

Eu vou colocar "medium" pois não dá para ter certeza sobre o contexto.
Alavanca, neste sentido, ***parece*** ser um tipo de esforço causado por uma força que gira em torno de um ponto. O nome completo deveria ser BRAÇO DE ALAVANCA e em inglês MOMENT ARM ou LEVER ARM.
Ele fala no texto aumento no atrito (friction), nos esforços (stress) e na alavanca (moment arm).
