I wasn't sure what field to post this in - my thought for encerrante is gauge. Any ideas are most welcome!

| Marlene - This simulator is for a gas station pump - I still haven't thought of anything besides gauge, but my concern is that fuel gauge is used for the indicator on the car's dashboard, and not on the gas pump at the station... |

Penso que o "encerrante" seja o contador de litros que existe nas bombas que não pode ser zerado. Em bombas antigas, é um contador pequeno, bem menor que o mostrado para o consumidor (também feito de números rodantes), que fica em um canto meio escondido, na bomba.
Não faço idéia de qual seria o equivalente em inglês. Algo como "lifetime display reading".
