Portuguese term

folha

Portuguese to English Law/Patents Certificates, Diplomas, Licenses, CVs
Used to denote a numbered section of a legal document such as a register; evidently not the same as "página". Examples: "às folhas 263 a 264v" (the "v" presumably stands for "verso"), "no Livro Registro de Escrituras, Títulos e Documentos no. 15 folhas 206" (here it seems that more than one "folha" may have the same number).

Note from asker:
Many thanks: I'd already decided on "folio" myself in the meantime.

Even though "folhas" technically means "sheets", I usually translate it as page(s), since sheets give the connotation of being loose and not bound.

You may see folhas abbreviated as fls.

Depending on the context, you may translate it as page or as pages.
