Why would the client want to receive drawing boards? - drawings are done on computers by Cad-Cam programs - nobody uses drawing boards anymore

Yes, the problem is these are the "pranchas de desenho" the engineering company will give the client. Is it possible to give those boards to the client? He's talking about how the new technologies will substitute that and will now deliver the three-dimensional model.

A drawing board (also drawing table, drafting table or architect's table) is, in its antique form, a kind of multipurpose desk which can be used for any kind of drawing, writing or impromptu sketching on a large sheet of paper or for reading a large format book or other oversized document or for drafting precise technical illustrations. The drawing table used to be a frequent companion to a pedestal desk in a gentleman's study or private library, during the preindustrial and early industrial era.

now a days engineering companies don't even use "drawing boards" "drawing tables", "drafting tables" or "architect's tables" to produce drawings - they are all done on computers with Cad-Cam programs.
