Karashimentaiko is Theragra chalcogramma roe, which is スケソウダラ (介宗鱈)roe in Japanese (English name is Alaska Pollack) , seasoning with Red Pepper.

Normally the fish eggs are infolded with skin which is eatable and are sold piece by piece. (You can see the picture in the link above.) 3 pieces are sold about 5 dollars or so at the Korean Market around my home area in United States. When I use this for Onigiri (rice ball), salad or spaghetti dish, I normally squeeze the fish eggs out of the skin. We can eat the skin outside. But I like to eat 辛子明太子without skin.

Now it is sold without skin in Japan ! I did not know that.

barako = 外側の皮(袋)から出してバラバラにした辛子明太子

About 5 dollars means that the price depends on size or weight of the piece of 辛子明太子.

すみません、何度も。
Not sure what 「用」 means here, but I think ホタテ means (帆立貝) and バラコ means (バラバラの魚卵. It also includes タラコ、数の子etc.).
