half life

I'm only doing this because the source term has changed...

Half life (whether of a drug in the body or a radioactive substance) is the time it takes for half of any substance to decay/metabolise, so it\'s not analogous with half life.

... I meant \"not analagous wih clearance time\", obviously... sorry for all the extended notes and so on, my excuse is that it\'s 9.00 p.m. and I\'ve been working for twelve hours...

clearance time

I think you must be right, even though with Google I could only find one use of "emmitività" in this way (and only nine uses in total!) - but that one link does make it pretty clear what is meant:
"...per quel che riguarda la terapia locale, l'obiettivo è la ricerca o di un farmaco a lunga emittività (per cui la somministrazione risulta molto diluita nel tempo)..."

The only other possibility I can think of would be that it\'s referring to radioactive emission, but I assume you\'ve already discounted that from the context.

Emivita is half life! But it doesn\'t have an accent. You can use clearance time or half life, as you prefer. But I\'d use half life:

Scratch that, you can\'t use clearance time, it\'s different (see below)
