Italian term

autofilettante/autoforante

Italian to English Tech/Engineering Construction / Civil Engineering
Can anyone tell me the difference between these two types of screws? I thought they were the same but the pictures are different. The autofilettante has threads all the way to the tip, the autoforante has what looks like a drill bit at the tip and the threads only run as far as this piece and not all the way to the tip.
Thanks
