Discussion

Michael McCann May 4, 2010:
The "slant of the eye" / "eye-slant" is very medical and surgical expression. Is there not a better way to express it?
sachin dagar May 4, 2010:
I have made a terrible mistake...

Therese I am so sorry.. When looking for taglio dell'occhio the only thing that came to my mind was the scene from the movie... but it is TOTALLY out of context in this case.. I accept... and apologize...

all-seeing penetrating eye

I would try and avoid words such as "slant". While "taglio dell'occhio" is also used in both surgery and in cosmetics, I think it may have another meaning here of a "penetrating" nature.
