schlagen It's only an idea, as I don't know what NN drive is or what the special feature of the screw is. but not having to use a hammer drill/driver is hardly an advantage and an advantage is what we are looking for here, so I suggest schlagen might (here) mean (slipping and) spoiling the head of the screw, which is a common problem with working fast without pre-drilling pilot holes. So I'm guessing your screw is of the non-slipping torx-type and/or has a self-cutting feature so it goes in easily***?
