Flemish to English Tech/Engineering Engineering (general) building

Does "aantakking" mean what I think it means? Connecting? In the document I am working on and which gives me little context, other than that it concerns car parks there is mention of "kolommen en aantakkingsstukken". From google I seem to understand that aantakking means connection, which might make sense. Any imput would be greatfully received!
