По следующей логике - текст написан "приподнятым" стилем, а дословно - ... - уже 10 лет, и отсчет продолжается.. Кстати, и такую версию по-моему стоит рассмотреть

perhaps so with the second option, though the first is a widely used clishe. However, "elevated" style sounds generally awkward to me :). Thanks
