Как лучше перевести термин "consolidation"? "Прочность"?

The only test which can derive the ultimate resistance is the maintained load test if loads are sufficient and held constants for a long enough period. Other tests require subsequent interpretation. Similarly, dynamic testing methods cannot measures consolidation or creep under load. Any approximations made to the results for the purpose of establishing load/settlement relationships should therefore be made clear in test reports.
