I haven’t bought a new piece of equipment in years. I use my Leica M5 and some beat up Nikons and a Vivitar 285 flash.

surradas

"Beat up" is pretty informal, no need to get formal in the translation with velhas, gastas, muito usadas.
There is no inklind to the cameras being damaged in any way other than their physical appearance, so danificadas does not fit.
Furthermore, "to beat up someone" is equivalent to "dar uma surra em alguém", so "surradas" fits perfectly.
