The two trendlines in the summer of 2000 were slightly better for the RSI. Note also that both series experienced positive divergences at the October 2000 low, but that for the CMO was a much stronger signal, since the September bottom was well above that of mid-October. It doesn’t always work in favor of the CMO, but I prefer it because of the more numerous overbought/ oversold readings and the plus and minus scaling, which makes it easier to spot positive and negative readings.
