The Settlement Rules element enables to define settlement rule profiles for the inventory payment. The system supports multiple concurrent profiles at a time and these are valid per edition loaded. These rules define how the books will be financially charged to point of sales.
These rules can be combined and combinational rules can be applied. Others are mutually exclusive and cannot be combined. The system can (some examples follow):
• Charge a book to a point of sale when the retailer acknowledges receipt of order
• Charge a book to a point of sale when a retailer activated a book (tears the sealed book)
• Charge a book when the next order arrives to the retailer
• Charge a book after x days from order’s receipt acknowledgement
• Charge a book after % tickets from that book have been validated
• Charge all books of an order when any book from that order is activated
