knallen

Dutch to English Other Slang conversation
context:

Discussion

Chris Hopley Jul 30, 2010:
having a blast I'd go along with your own "having a blast" - vivid language to complement the vivid colours!
Frank van Thienen (X) (asker) Jul 30, 2010:
make-up artist and photographer This is from an article about a make-up artist and a photographer, teaming up (again) to create colourful facial art.

Could we have some more context please? Who are we talking about? What are they doing?

(using) popping colors

Using bright and contrasting colors. Dit komt van 'knallende kleuren'. (Whatever they were doing or what this applies to) they wanted to use popping colors.

Note from asker:
Thanks Lianne! I like this option in this context.

go bang

They just wanted to "go bang" once more. Using many and violent colours, why restraining yourself?

Let the beat, let the beat be your lover
Free your mind, let the beat take you over
Throw all inhibitions up into the wind

Let's go bang
I wanna go bang
Let's go bang
I wanna go bang
Let's go bang
I wanna go bang
Let's go bang
I wanna.....
