Hi,
I am currently translating Exam Regulations of a "Baccalauréat Professionnel" for Australia
It is in table format and at the top I have:
ÉPREUVE UNITÉ COEF FORME DURÉE FORME DURÉE FORME DURÉE
and in the left column, I have:
"E1: Épreuve scientifique et technique
Sous-épreuve A1:
Sciences et techniques industrielles"
"sub-test" or "sub-assessment" seem strange to me...

These are tests that I regularly see in the school system in France. Whereas épreuve could be translated as test, sous-épreuve just means that it's a section of the test.
