1. Рентгенографию коленного сустава производят в прямой (передней или задней) и боковой проекциях. При прямой задней проекции больной лежит на спине, обе ноги вытянуты, сагиттальная плоскость стоп расположена перпендикулярно к плоскости стола. При прямой передней проекции больной лежит на животе. При боковой проекции больной лежит на боку соответственно исследуемой конечности, плоскость надколенника должна быть перпендикулярна кассете (параллельно ходу центрального луча).

Можно и в (прямой) задне-передней, но обычно сокращают до (прямой) задней (posteroanterior) или передней (anteroposterior) проекции.
