an instrument with a very powerful sound

"Sonora" can be translated as "loud" or "sound (as an adjective)" (in Larousse's Unabridged Spanish/English Dictionary) but here I choose to use it as a noun. The idea of "loud" is included in "powerful," anyway.

I don't think it's accurate to translate "potencia" as "potential" in this case.
