Professional interpretation without video
Connect with interpreters through audio-only sessions in your browser—available on Remoto today. Prefer a regular phone? The Remoto Phone Line brings dial-in over-the-phone interpreting (OPI) to any phone.

How audio interpreting works
Four steps to connect with a professional interpreter—no camera, same pool search and scheduling as video calls.
Sign in to Remoto
Open your dashboard from a desktop or mobile browser. Add a payment method if you have not already.
Choose audio as call type
When starting on-demand or scheduling a call, select Audio instead of Video in the call type selector.
Find and connect
Search the interpreter pool, pick a professional, and connect. The session runs audio-only through Remoto.
Invite others if needed
Share a guest link so additional participants can join scheduled sessions without creating an account.
Why choose audio interpreting
When video is not needed, audio sessions keep conversations clear while using less bandwidth.
Lower bandwidth
Audio-only sessions use less data than video—helpful on slower connections or when video is not needed.
No camera required
Connect with a microphone only. Ideal when visual contact is unnecessary or privacy matters.
Transparent per-minute billing
Same clear pricing as video calls. You see rates before you connect and pay only for time used.
Works in your browser
Use Remoto on desktop or mobile browser—no separate app download required for audio sessions.
