Ever since I was a child, I have loved math, numbers, chemistry and physics; these passions led me to pursue an education in engineering, and ultimately to acquire a master’s degree in Civil Engineering for the protection from natural hazards. While working as a freelance and associate engineer, I have also gained experience in the fields of insurance, contracts, accounting and building administration. On a personal level, I’m the type of individual who loves fixing broken things, solving problems or at least coming up with suggestions. I’m a very methodical and professional individual, I’m extremely passionate about process optimisation, logistics, supply chain issues, etc. Some might say these are traits developed through the process of becoming an engineer, however in my case I’d argue that these traits are what got me interested in engineering in the first place. I would say I'm capable of thinking both inside and outside the box, depending on the circumstances; I’m a perfectionist in a way compatible with deadlines. What I like the most is learning new things, mainly about languages and new technologies. On a final note, about my hobbies, I have a newfound love for nature and exploring the outdoors, and an old guilty pleasure of occasionally playing videogames (in the economic simulator, strategy, logistics simulator, etc. genres). |
