After obtaining my master's degree in translation in 2009, I completed a postgraduate European master in specialized translation in 2010. The latter covered classes on translation technologies, audiovisual translation, website localization as well as a three-month internship with a translation agency.

Although I've been working with texts and languages ever since, I started my professional career in 2010 in a renowned Belgian commodity trading company as a trade coordinator for the African markets. In the past decade I've gathered experience in logistics (shipping in particular), maritime insurance, metallurgy and documentary credits, among others.

Over the years I've worked on various assignments including general translations, audio transcriptions, subtitling for the deaf and hearing impaired, tutoring languages, co-writing a style guide and writing band biographies for websites.

In my spare time I've been playing guitar in several bands and ensembles for over twenty years. I also write, record and produce my own music.

Besides linguistics, logistics and music, sports and cycling are my great passions.
