I am based in Edinburgh, Scotland, and hold a BA Hons Interpreting & Translating from Heriot-Watt University (1983). Following graduation, I added Spanish as a working language, and later Hungarian (from 1989).
In 2003, pursuing a lifelong interest, I returned to higher education and completed a BSc Hons in Herbal Medicine (Phytotherapy) in 2007. Since then my translation work has focused increasingly on fields related to this - primarily research in plant sciences, ethnobotany, and medicine - both traditional and modern.
