Source text - Indonesian Kecacingan merupakan penyakit infeksi yang disebabkan oleh parasit berupa cacing. Kecacingan ini sering menginfeksi anak-anak karena anak-anak sering kontak langsung dengan tanah sehingga memudahkan proses masuknya telur cacing ke dalam tubuh anak tersebut. Tujuan dari kegiatan rutin ini adalah untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara kepadatan telur cacing Soil Transmitted Helminths (STH) dengan kadar Hemoglobin pada anak Sekolah Dasar. Metode pemilihan sampel dilakukan dengan menggunakan stratifikasi berdasarkan golongan tingkatan usia sekolah (5-12 tahun). Masing-masing tingkatan umur diambil 37 anak. Pemilihan lokasi sekolah dipilih satu sekolah tingkat Sekolah Dasar yang memiliki data kasus kecacingan tertinggi yaitu Kecamatan Umbu Ratu Nggay Kabupaten Sumba Tengah, kegiatan ini dilakukan pada Tahun 2016. Jumlah anak yang diperiksa adalah sebanyak 235 orang. Hasil pemeriksaan ditemukan 191 orang positif kecacingan dengan jenis infeksi Ascaris lumbricoides sebanyak 151 orang (79,1%), Trichuris trichiura sebanyak 127 orang (66,8%) dan Cacing tambang sebanyak 12 orang (6,2%). Hasil analisis uji korelasi menunjukkan bahwa tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara kepadatan telur STH dengan kadar Hemoglobin pada anak SD dengan nilai signifikansi Ascaris lumbricoides 0,541 (>0,05), Trichuris trichiura 0,088 (>0,05) dan Cacing tambang 0,810 (>0,05).
Translation - English Helminthiasis is an infectious disease caused by parasitic worms. Helminthiasis often infecting children due to frequent contact with soil and thus ease the process of eggs worm entering children’s body. The purpose of this routine agenda is to know the correlation between density of Soil Transmitted Helminths worm eggs and hemoglobin level of elementary school students. Sampling method was stratified sampling according to age level subgroup (age 5-12 years old). Each subgroup took 37 students as sample. School chosen is an elementary school with the highest helminthiasis infection rate in Umbu Ratu Nggay Sub-district, Sumba Tengah Regency, this research was conducted in 2016. Number of students tested was 235 students. Result shows 191 students are positively infected by helminths with Ascaris lumbricoides infecting 151 (79,1%) students, Trichuris trichiura infecting 127 (66,8%) students, and hookworms infecting 12 (6,2%) students. Correlation test analysis shows that there is no correlation between density of STH eggs and hemoglobin level of elementary school students with significance level Ascaris lumbricoides 0,541 (>0,05), Trichuris trichiura 0,088 (>0,05) and hookworms 0,810 (>0,05)
