I'm assuming that 'the series' refers to some kind of media production (radio or TV programme, series of books, etc.); and considering that the author's aim is to deliver faithful Glaswegian prose it's more likely to refer to local 'expressions' (including slang), or the local dialect, rather than any 'terminology' specific to Glasgow.
