Maybe one more possibility to consider, especially because the original uses the word "Bedarf", which is more of a necessity than amenity. This phrase seems to be quite common as well.

is what I normally use in British English reports. "Local shops and services" is an alternative - but only to be used in advertising if there really are some services.

"Einkaufsmöglichkeiten" also appears a couple of times, but not in the same ads as the "Einrichtungen des täglichen Bedarfs" so they may be just trying to vary the language. I prefer "local shops and services, though, because I feel that they are talking about more than just shops. These are the sentences in which the term appears (different ads): "Alle Dinge des täglichen Bedarfs, sowie ein breit gefächertes Bildungsangebot finden Sie in der Nähe." "Freizeitangebote und Einrichtungen des täglichen Bedarfs befinden sich in unmittelbarer Umgebung." |
