Hello fellow translators,
I'm looking to expand my business into interpreting. I am a trained translator but have no formal credentials in interpreting. I was thinking about taking the 40-hour Bridging The Gap course. It is usually a stepping stone to becoming a medical/community interpreter.
I would rather do 5 days back-to-back than weekends. I'm considering the following classes. Has anyone taken them? What's your experience been like? Have you taken some other class... See more

Thank you, Ewa. At this point, I am looking for feedback on specific programs. They all sound good "on paper," but I'd like to know if participants actually thought they were worth it. Otherwise, I believe a 50-hour IMIA-accredited program would satisfy the prerequisites for a certification exam.
